Just bought a used flute online, should I send it to a professional?
I bought a used Yamaha 385 II flute online, and it's pretty rusty, and has two really small dents on the headjoint. Besides that, it still plays extremely well. But should I send it to a professional anyways, to get those two dents removed and to have it re polished? Also, should I ask him her to check the padding and any other problems that may be in the flute? Thanks

This may sound strange, but I am looking to buy an old, used flute, and it does not have to be playable at all. I am looking to make a flute lamp a cute idea since I am a flutist myself and am not having luck searching for cheap used flutes. I don't really have time to go searching at garage sales or anything like that I would prefer to get it online. So, my question is, does anyone know where I can buy an old, used, cheap less than about $50 , bad flute? If not, do you have suggestions for how I can search for one?

Used flute, but still?
I just got a used flute for rent. It's not problem, just a few scratches in some places. But I'm pretty sure the scratches are okay, that's not the main problem, I can still live with it.But since I had a suzuki before and it didn't work after 1 year of playing, I returned it. So now I went over to my music store and rented a yamaha flute. Yamaha is pretty proffesional, i can play all the notes smoothly, but I can't really tongue E Flat. everytime i blow it, it always has a little air with my tonguing. Do you guys think I'm just not used to it? Or is something wrong with my flute? I'm pretty sure it's still in good condition, just scratches and little little unnoticible bumps. But I don't think that's the reason...
