Would it be cheaper to refurbish an old student flute or buy a new one?
I've been thinking about playing flute again. I have a 25 year old Selmer Bundy flute that I abused in high school. The cork and pads have never been changed, and I can't say I was all that diligent about cleaning it or keeping the screws tight.Approximately how much would it cost to replace the cork and pads and get this thing into playing shape? I've found brand new student flutes on Ebay for $130 out the door, so I'm wondering if it would just be cheaper to buy a new one.Thanks
Recommend upgrade (step up) from a bundy student flute?
Wanting to get a new flute. I've been playing my student bundy flute for many years now.. I borrowed a friends Gemeinhardt open hole but didn't care for the feel of it... Does anyone have any suggestions from transetioning from a Bundy II student flute to something of higher quality? Also is there a great difference between an " intermediate" and " professional" style flute?
