My fingers keep locking up while playing my flute and piccolo! What can I do to stop it?
I am getting ready for honor band auditions on flute, piccolo, and clarinet. My fingers have to move so fast, and I practice a lot so I can play my best. My fingers will just stop moving at the knuckles, and I have to soak them in warm water then ice to get them to loosen up. Anyone know how I can keep my fingers from doing this?
What should I name my flute and piccolo?
I always name my instruments. My Flutes name used to be florence flute but I change it a lot. What name sounds good with flute. And for christmas I got a piccolo. I thought about penelope but that's my friend's clarinet name and I don't want her to think I stole it form her. Any suggestions?
What is the best brand of flute and piccolo?
"Pocket" for marching flute and piccolo?
I need to make pocket type things for my daughter's high school marching band. These would be used during the marching show by someone who plays both flute and piccolo while marching. The girls will have to take a flute out ot the pocket and put a piccolo into a pocket or vise versa during the show. Does anyone have experience with this or know of a webpage where I could see one or more. I won't have any trouble making it, just would like to see one and not have to " re invent the wheel" so to speak to design. Thanks HELP please
Comparison between flute and piccolo?
I already play the flute, but I'm considering buying a piccolo in order to attain a more " fife like" sound in an Irish band I've just joined. Does a piccolo have the same fingering as a flute, or will I have to learn a whole new fingering chart?
