Flute vs Clarinet vs Alto Sax?
I currently play the flute in band and HATE HATE HATE IT I don't know why... It makes a pretty sound, its easy, and I just hate it. Don't know why. Next year, I am definantly switching I was thinking clarinet cause my bff plays it, and I wanna be able to talk to her in band class more often lol but the sound is weird and it looks hard and most people I know play the clarinet but idk. I have always loved the sax, i dont even know why I chose the flute but I did. I like the sax sound, it looks easy and its always a big part in our songs we play and it makes a loud noise so you can hear it. Our band is mostly flutes and I can never hear us, whilst there is 2 bass clarinets and about 7 sax's and we can hear them so well and never hear the flutes I always wanted to play sax but... Idk. Should I stay on the dumb flute, move to clarinet or go to sax? Lets put it this way If you were in MY situation, what would you pick?
FLUTE BRAND WITH THE BEST SOUND?
Hu guys This question is for people with well knowledge of flutes...I'm thinking about buying a professional flute, but I dont know which brand to buy..I'm looking for a Flute Brand that has a REALLY GOOD sound. Where can I buy a used flute (in bad condition)?
This may sound strange, but I am looking to buy an old, used flute, and it does not have to be playable at all. I am looking to make a flute lamp a cute idea since I am a flutist myself and am not having luck searching for cheap used flutes. I don't really have time to go searching at garage sales or anything like that I would prefer to get it online. So, my question is, does anyone know where I can buy an old, used, cheap less than about $50 , bad flute? If not, do you have suggestions for how I can search for one?
Should i take flute lessons? need help?
ok so i've been thinking about taking some flute lessons, i'm 16 and i've asked my parents if i could take them, they seem to be okay with it but i haven't exactly gotten the full ok i can take the lessons answer. i know i have to buy a flute of my own or rent one, if so should i go for a colored flute or just a plain silver or gold one? and is there anywhere i can get free flute lessons instead of online? i want to take flute lessons because since i am a home schooler i feel locked in the house all the time and i think it would be best if i could interact some with different people instead of my mom and dad i just want to be sure with myself if i'm ready to take flute lessons, i've been doing research and i'm going to the library to rent a book on flutes. i really want to learn to play
